iRead Pod for BlogCFC v0.8 Released
TechnicalThe pod now includes two versions: a traditional, inline version using cfhttp to retrieve the feeds at runtime and an AJaX-based version using Google's Feed API to retrieve the feed asynchronously.
The latter version has several advantages like speed and support for all meaningful feed types, but requires a Google login and a minor code edit to apply a key provided by Google. This is the preferred version if you don't mind those provisions.
The v0.8 release is now available for download at RIAForge. I'll release v1.0 when I have a few minutes to build in support for the RSS 1.0 (RDF) and Atom 1.0 feed formats.
